Nearing the end of his fifth term, longest sitting director Tim Petrachek retired from the DSA Board. His seat has been filled by Michelle Chism.

On June 7 voters throughout our county and state turned out to vote in the primary election. DSA endorsed candidates competed in several local races throughout the county; all managed to win in primary or move forward to general election.

Peace Officer Memorial Ceremonies dominate the month of May and honor our fallen brothers and sisters. The California Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony on May 1 begins the many events held throughout our state and country.
