Wanted Shooting Suspect

DSA Offers Reward for Information that Leads to Arrest


Anyone with information on the location of suspect Ray Pitoau should call the San Diego Police Department at (619) 531-2000 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Pitoau is a suspect in the shooting of an off-duty deputy. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up $1,000 in addition to the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of San Diego County who is offering $5,000 to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.


SDSD joins the Pink Patch Project

Breast Cancer Awareness Patches

Every October, we see NFL and MLB teams don pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. Law enforcement agencies throughout California now participate in the Pink Patch Project. This year, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department will join the mission.


Director Election Results

Results are in: Michelle Chism, Daniel Gutierrez, and Gary Moore were elected to serve on the DSA Board. Each will serve a three year term. In addition, all three bylaw proposals passed.
