Three of the Board of Directors are elected by the Class 1 members each January, with each serving a three year term. The President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer are elected by the Board of Directors from the seated Board and each office is a two year term.

Harold Turner started his career with the Sheriff’s Department as an Explorer. Hired originaly as a correction deputy, he later transfered to patrol before being promoted to Sergeant, working a variety of assignments. He is currently a Lieutenant in Courts. Early in his career, he acted as a DSA representative and served on several committees. Dedicated to the association, he chose to become active again by running for the board of directors.
