The VCEA and VFFA are having two more rallies at City Hall for Prop. L. Wednesday, October 11th (A shift) and Wednesday November 1st (C shift) Both will be in front of Vista City Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

About 65 Vista city employees and firefighters gathered in front of the Vista city hall in late August. They were joined by the Mayor, Fire Chief, Terich, and Councilman Lopez, making contact with thousands of people. Unfortunately, it seems many Vista residents have not heard of Prop L and several prominent organizations have come out against it.

The DSA has chosen to support Prop L, which is a half cent sales tax increase. If Proposition L is approved by voters in the Nov. 7 election, Vista’s sales tax would climb to 8.25 percent for a period of 30 years. City officials have said the measure would generate about $6 million annually and pay for much-needed public safety projects, as well as a new city hall.
