The cost of one raffle ticket is $5.00. Ticket sales will begin on October 4th and end at 11:00AM PST on Saturday, November 8th. Tickets can be purchased through any SMBC player, family member, or by calling Colleen Stanich at 760-975-8711. Tickets will also be available at the SMBC Field Snack Bar during home games and on October 11th and 12th during the “Wood Bat Tournament”.

17th Annual San Diego County Peace Officer Memorial Run

Cannon Park in Carlsbad

You and your family are invited to participate in the 17th Annual Peace Officers Memorial Run on Saturday, May 17, at 9 a.m.

This run is being held in conjunction with Peace Officers Memorial Week.  The run is not a race but a run to honor those peace officers who have died on duty.
The run will start at Cannon Park located at the corner of Carlsbad Blvd. (Hwy 101) and Cannon Rd. in Carlsbad.  The run will be 2.5 miles in length and will follow a course along the Pacific Ocean.  The run is for all levels and the pace will be moderated to keep all of the runners together.  Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the run.  In addition, Peace Officers Memorial Run baseball caps will be available for sale at the run for $10 each.

The DSA is hosting a family picnic at SeaWorld on Sunday, July 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The park is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and all DSA guests are welcome to enjoy the park both before and after the picnic.

Tickets will be just $15 per person (for active DSA members and their immediate family only) and includes a buffet lunch at the Polar Bear Plaza. Space will be limited to just 300 people.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the DSA store starting June 18.  Tickets are first come first served, no reservations will be taken.

No tickets will be mailed.

The DSA store is located at the DSA office, 13881 Danielson Street in Poway.

Firearms

Off duty Sworn and current Law Enforcement Officers may possess their firearms while in the park.  Sea World requests that they be concealed.  They ask that you present your badge and identification so they know you are Law Enforcement and armed.

Officers on duty and in uniform may be armed any where in the park.  Plain clothes officers on duty same except Sea World requests that you conceal your weapons

DSA members carrying firearms will be asked to present them when going through the security check at the Main Gate.

We will hold the Lemon Grove Station Reunion for those that served there in the 1970’s and 1980’s on JUNE 13TH 2007 . It will be at the VFW on Federal Blvd just west of College Ave. in Lemon Grove.  (across from Bob McClellan auto dealership)

I will need all RSVP’s and checks/cash no later than June 11th.  The choice of meal will be chicken OR prime rib.  Bring old photos.  All drinks will have to be purchased from the VFW.
